MG Montego 2.0 EFi
I bought the MG Montego for £ 230, It was a one owner, having done about 180,000 miles, and is now used for Auto tests in the MG owners club and MG car club.
The MG Montego is available in 2 models, The 115bhp 2.0 injection (EFi) and the 150bhp 2.0 Turbo. My 2.0 EFi is currently undergoing an engine transplant, and will soon have a 140bhp Rover 16 valve engine, this conversion is quite popluar in England using the M16 or T16 Rover units with or with out a Turbo charger. Engine output's are generally in the region of 140bhp (standard unit) to 250+ bhp (for a modified Turbo unit).
So far I have taken part in only one Auto test (Shown below) and managed to score a good position against the other MG contenders driving cars such as an MGF, Metro GTi, Race Prep. MG Miget, MGB 3.9 V8 injection and a few standard Migets. in 1999 I will be taking part in the 1999 MOSS SPEED CHAMPIONSHIP (sprints & Hill climbs), but not in this Montego as its now used as spares.
