Infiniti G20 (1991-1999)
The Infinity G20 was introduced into the USA in 1991, It was based on the 1990 Nissan Primera from which it recieved minor alterations to conform to US saftey and environment regulations, these included bigger Bumpers and standard catalytic convertors. Just one engine was availble, a 2.0 litre 140 bhp SR20DE unit.
In 1995/6 the G20 was discontinued with no replacement iminent, but after 3 years the new G20 has just been released. The new model is based on the 1996 Nissan Primera, this time with more obvious styling modifications and more chrome to satisfy the upper end of the car market. The new model retains the 140 bhp unit, although a more powerful unit may become availble in the future.
